Buying through Mōsho

For straightforward purchases, our service fee is 15% of the combined item price, with a £10 minimum and £100 maximum per customer order. These limits apply once across the purchases grouped into that order. It is not charged on postage. Japan-side fees are separate allowances until confirmed. Unusually involved sourcing or complex orders need an agreed quote before ordering.

Use seller-stated prices where available. The defaults below are planning allowances, not confirmed supplier charges.

Delivery within Japan

Assumes the seller sends the same boxes you enter below to Kansai (Osaka area). We use a rounded higher mainland delivery reference based on size and weight. Actual incoming packaging and the seller’s location can change the price. For separate seller purchases, enter the combined delivery charges or request a quote.

The incoming boxes or number of deliveries will differ, or I do not know. The seller is in Okinawa, on an island or needs a special domestic service. The parcel must stay upright during domestic delivery.

Japan buying fee

A separate minimum applies to each seller purchase. Allow at least ¥2,000 for a four-wheel set of 16 inches or larger. This is a budget allowance; our partner’s actual fee may differ.

Packing and other Japan fees

Allow ¥1,000 per export parcel for packing, plus ¥500 per seller purchase for payment or other handling. These are Mōsho planning choices, not our partner’s published charges. Unusual packing, storage, extra cover and currency/payment costs may be additional.

Unpacked mode adds twice the side allowance to each dimension, plus the greater of the minimum packing weight or the percentage. The postage budget allowance is shown separately. It cannot guarantee an upper price.

The contents may need a shipping check, such as batteries, aerosols, gas-filled parts, airbags or parts containing fuel or oil. DHL: packaging is not a fully enclosed corrugated-cardboard box.

How this estimate works

Length is the longest side. Japan Post checks length + 2 × width + 2 × height. DHL compares packed weight with length × width × height ÷ 5,000, in centimetres and kilograms.

Rates and country rules checked 2 November 2026; service-availability chart dated 23 October 2026. Another check is due by 2 December. The calculator will stop showing estimates after that date until the data is reviewed.

Sea Mail is Japan Post’s parcel service. It is separate from Mōsho’s paused consolidated container service. We’ll confirm that our Japan shipping partner can book the service for your item.

Buying costs use the total price of each seller purchase, including any seller tax or charges in the listing. They are entered once, regardless of the number of export parcels. The domestic allowance uses Yamato’s size and weight bands with a higher mainland-to-Kansai cash reference rounded up to ¥100. It is a planning assumption, not a route-specific carrier quote.

The Japan buying allowance is a conservative 10% with a per-purchase minimum, informed by a public buying-service schedule. It does not establish our partner’s agreed charge. Known combined quotes replace the relevant allowances; they are not added twice. All costs remain subject to confirmation before ordering.

Car parts are the main focus. Send us something you’ve found on Yahoo! Auctions / JDirectAuctions, Mercari, Up Garage or a specialist seller’s site, or just tell us what you’re after.

Search our listings or send us a link, screenshot, auction ID or description.
We check availability, condition, seller information and pricing.
We confirm the bid or purchase and landed estimate before moving ahead.

Air shipping enquiries

Availability, cost and lead time depend on the item and its packed size and weight. The estimator also compares Japan Post Sea Mail, a separate parcel service from our paused container shipping. We’ll confirm the available method and charges with your quote.
